MINUTES:
The minutes from the December 2009 meeting were approved.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Nikki Price reviewed the financial statement. The financials were accepted.
We made $500 profit with the Script program.

MR. NEVILLE:
➢    Introduced Peter Jonaitis – the JFK PTO BOE liaison.
o    Mr. Jonaitis introduced himself.
o    The new board is working well together.
➢    Budget meetings are coming up.
➢    Mr. Neville asked Mr. Jonatis to come to the next PTO meeting to us budget updates.
➢    The Hartford Stage field trip went over very well. He thanked the JFK PTO for supporting this event.
➢    The Honor’s Society induction will be postponed until February.
➢    The Chorus concert is scheduled for Thursday, January 14, 2010.
➢    We discussed ways to increase the on-line newsletter subscribers.

MR. LONGEY:
➢    The recycling company he was looking into for us is currently not available.
➢    The magazine drive is traditionally done for JFK Madness – done thru Jeannine’s.
➢    JFK Madness is a large event done at the school and is done over two days; one for 7th grade and one for 8th:
➢    We will need a deposit of $3,000 soon in order to hold the dates.
➢    A subcommittee needs to be formed. A sign up sheet went around the room.

➢    The Party People is who we used last year for some of the rentals.
o    Obstacle Course
o    Mini Golf
o    Movies
o    Laser Tag
o    Guitar Hero

MRS. GORMAN:
➢    The 7th grade winner of the Geography Bee was Lexi Grabon.

FUNDRAISING REPORT:
➢    Discussed the Script program. Only 4 customers were sold at the band concert so there was no booth set up at the Strings concert. Discussed better fundraising for next year for these events.
➢    There will be a flyer attached to the report cards promoting Scripts. Mr. Neville and Nikki Price will work on.
➢    We discussed a McEducation night at McDonald’s. It has to be a Tuesday or a Wednesday – a letter needs to be sent by the school.
➢    Joan – Mr. Neville’s secretary did a lot of work helping with the Script card program. Lynn would like to do something for her. After much discussion:
o    A motion was made to give a $50 gift card to Joan to show our appreciation. By John LeDoux; 2nd by Lenny Grabon.
