Starting Thursday, November 12 Student Council will be collecting turkeys to donate to local charities for the holidays.  We need your help.  Turkeys can be dropped off in the main office for storage.

The Off-Season Running Club will begin soon!  Stop by 29R for information.

The Turkey Trot is back!  November 23rd right after school.  Sign up in Mr. Clark's homeroom, 25B.  Remember only the first 100 are guarenteed a t-shirt. 
 
JFK After School begins registration on October 19th.  Activities will begin on Monday, November 2nd. Registration forms will be availabe in the Guidance office and the Main Office.
 
The Book Fair is coming to JFK.  Next week it will be here for four days.  There will be something for everyone.  So bring your money and buy some fun.  We'll be open for parents on Thursday night during parent/teacher conferences.  Make a list for them and keep it in sight, because you know by or by crook we'd like you to make friends with a good book!
 
Tennis Club will meet on Mondays after school weather permitting.
  
Come join the Metacomet Club on Thursdays and enjoy learning of the outdoors while doing science activities and meeting new people.
 
D.S Club will meet Mondays after school in 24W.  New members are always welcome.
 
The Color Guard will meet Monday and Wednesday this week.
 
Penny Wars sponsored by JFK Student Council will begin on November 1st and go to November 18th.  Read about Penny Wars under Student Council News.  Last year they raised $2576.69 for three local charities.
 
Come join the Fitness Club on Thursday, November 19th in 3R for a discussion on healthy eating and living.  We are asking that you see either Mrs. Estes in 26R or Miss Faz in 3R if you are attending.  If you plan to attend, each person will contribute a healthy snack item.  All are welcome.
 
Our first Dance of the year "FALL BALL" will be held on Friday, November 20th from 2:35 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. in the cafe.
Six copies fo the Barnes & Noble Book Group's first novel have arrived!  See Ms. Connick in 27W to purchase for $5.50 your copy of, Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer!
 
Crafts Club will be meeting Monday, November 23rd.  We will be making Wreath Birdbaths.  Please see Ms. Siana in 21B to sign up.  The cost is $1.00.
